Now Dershowitz is at loggerheads with Barack Obama over the Israel-Palestine conflict.
After the horrific terror attacks committed by Hamas against innocent Israeli civilians, the Left did not wait for the bodies to get cold to criticize the Israeli government.
As the war in Gaza has escalated, the Left have flooded the airwaves and the streets with pro-Palestine support, and some have even expressed open support for Hamas.
Obama made comments about the conflict that did not sit well with Dershowitz, who said on Fox News that Obama has always had a “deep hatred” for Israel.
Obama’s foreign policy was more centered around détente with Iran, which is a sworn enemy of Israel.
Paying Iran to control their wolves
During his remarks on the conflict, Obama said, “If you want to solve the problem, then you have to take in the whole truth…And you then have to admit nobody’s hands are clean, that all of us are complicit to some degree.”
Maria Bartiromo asked Dershowitz, “Do you think Obama understands what his words have meant?”
Dershowitz responded, “I think so…I think he always had a deep hatred of Israel in his heart. He hid it very well. He called me to the Oval Office, and he said, ‘Alan, you know I have Israel’s back.’ I didn’t know he had a target on it. He has never been supportive of Israel. And finally, his true feelings have come out now that he’s no longer president, doesn’t have to be elected…So he is contributing enormously to the problem because he is respected among young people…If he says the occupation is unbearable and that anything can be done to stop it, he is asking people to engage in their antisemitic, anti-Israel and anti-American attitudes. He should be ashamed of himself. He should apologize. But he won’t.”
