Nancy Pelosi just shot herself in the foot on her big January 6 plan

Democrats want Americans to think that January 6 was worse than 9/11.

They are willing to do anything to prove that insane lie.

And Nancy Pelosi just shot herself in the foot on her big January 6 plan.

What happened on January 6 is pretty simple.

President Donald Trump had a speech, and as he was speaking over a mile away, a mix of agitators, and furious Trump supporters swept up in the moment entered the Capitol Building.

Only a very tiny handful of the many thousands of people in Washington, D.C. for Trump’s speech actually committed any violence, with most of the people who entered the Capitol seemingly being welcomed in by law enforcement who moved barricades and opened doors.

In response, hundreds of people have been charged, with most being completely non-violent offenses, which they could face years in prison over.

Some of those facing charges have been held in solitary confinement for months, in conditions so bad that Democrat Sen.

Elizabeth Warren even spoke out against their treatment.

But Democrats don’t care, and want these people to be treated as harshly as possible to fuel their narrative that January 6 was worse than 9/11, where 3,000 Americans were killed.

That’s why they pushed for a January 6 commission, modeled after the 9/11 commission report, to investigate the event.
And after the vote for an official report failed, Democrats announced they are creating one through a House select committee.

To make it a “bipartisan” report, Speaker Nancy Pelosi invited House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to appoint six Republicans to the committee.

But when he did, she denied two of the appointees, Reps. Jim Banks and Jim Jordan.

She denied them because she doesn’t like the two Congressmen, and believes that because they supported Trump, they would derail the investigation.

McCarthy ripped into Pelosi in a statement following the news.

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken the unprecedented step of denying the minority party’s picks for the Select Committee on January 6,” McCarthy said. “This represents an egregious abuse of power and will irreparably damage this institution. Denying the voices of members who have served in the military and law enforcement, as well as leaders of standing committees, has made it undeniable that this panel has lost all legitimacy and credibility and shows the Speaker is more interested in playing politics than seeking the truth.”

McCarthy also revealed that Republicans will pursue their own competing investigation.

“Unless Speaker Pelosi reverses course and seats all five Republican nominees, Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts,” he stated.

The only person killed on January 6 was Ashli Babbitt, a Trump-supporting Air Force veteran.

In contrast, Black Lives Matter riots killed dozens of people, and caused billions of dollars across America in damage in 2020.
