Attorney General Merrick Garland is clearly carrying water for the Bidens.

Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings clearly trace back to his father.

Both Garland and Joe Biden were stunned over this news about Hunter.

The Department of Justice attempted to give Hunter Biden a slap on the wrist after he pled guilty to federal charges that would’ve landed anyone else in prison.

Not only did Hunter avoid jail time, but he was being offered immunity from prosecution for any future crimes uncovered.

However, Donald Trump-appointed Judge Maryellen Noreika blew up the plea deal when she realized how absurdly light it was.

After the deal fell apart, there was pressure on the DOJ to look as if Hunter wasn’t being given special treatment.

That’s when AG Merrick Garland granted U.S. Attorney David Weiss special counsel status after denying him previously.

Weiss was also the prosecutor who slow-walked the Hunter Biden investigation in the first place.

The hunt for a Hunter indictment

Now there’s a report that Weiss is preparing to indict Hunter by the end of the month.

POLITICO reported that “Biden is expected to be charged with two felony counts related to his purchase of a gun in 2018. At the time, he has said he was regularly using crack cocaine…Prosecutors said last month that they also intend to charge President Joe Biden’s son with tax crimes, either in California or Washington, D.C.”

Saving face or farcical dog-and-pony show

While the headline that Hunter is being indicted is intended to shock, the reality is that the indictment is likely an attempt to give the appearance of objectivity while the DOJ persecutes Trump and all of Biden’s political enemies.

Conservative pundit Guy Benson predicted, “I’ve developed a theory on what is likely to come next…Having gotten ‘caught’ and embarrassed for a second time, Weiss will exercise his new authority to go a little bit harder at Hunter Biden (while still taking care to insulate ‘the Big Guy), without fully throwing the book at him.  Just as we saw after the IRS whistleblowers stepped forward, Weiss now needs to save some face, but his inclination to protect the Bidens to the greatest extent possible will likely remain intact.”

The indictment of Hunter so quickly after the sweetheart plea deal fell apart, gives credence to Benson’s theory that this is all a dog-and-pony show.

The Biden administration will not let Hunter Biden go down if for no other reason than to protect his father.
