If Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Chuck Schumer had their way, Merrick Garland would currently be sitting on the Supreme Court of the United States.

However, Republicans stood together to keep that from happening – so, now Garland is seeking revenge while serving as President Biden’s Attorney General of the United States.

But now Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz of Florida just verbally bloodied Garland with some truth haymakers that knocked the Attorney General to the floor.

Merrick Garland’s dereliction of duty

As President Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland has done nothing to prosecute violent rioters from Antifa and Black Lives Matter that have run amok during the Biden administration.

Garland did nothing to prosecute extreme abortion activists who harassed the Republican-appointed justices on the Supreme Court following the leak of their ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade

Even after one radical attempted to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh – Garland still did nothing.

But Garland was quick to label concerned parents who speak out at school board meetings as “domestic terrorists.”

Garland’s office has given the green light to treat praying Christians outside abortion clinics as criminals.

He’s even singled out voter I.D. laws, which he labeled, a plot to “disadvantage minorities.”

And as Republican Representative Matt Gaetz of Florida has pointed out, Garland’s team has been working with lawfare efforts to keep Donald Trump from a second term in the White House.

Matt Gaetz vs. Merrick Garland

Attorney General Merrick Garland was called to speak in front of the House Judiciary Committee earlier this week.

During the hearing Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz requested disclosure of all communications between the Department of Justice and the offices of New York Attorney General Letitia James, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Of course, James, Bragg, and Willis have all engaged in a witch hunt and lawfare to bring down former President Donald Trump.

Gaetz’ goal is to find out if Biden’s DOJ did anything to facilitate state investigations against his 2020 and 2024 opponent.

Garland refused, citing state independence.

And that’s when the fireworks began to fly.

Garland refuses to prove lawfare charges false

“You come in here, and you lodge this attack that it’s a ‘conspiracy theory’ that there’s coordinated lawfare against Trump,” Gaetz fired back. “And then we say, ‘Fine, just give us the documents. Give us the correspondents, and then if it’s a conspiracy theory that will be evidence.’”

The fiery exchange continued with Gaetz bringing up the odd career path of Garland disciple, Matthew Colangelo.

“Matthew Colangelo became the Assistant Attorney General at the very beginning of the Biden administration,” Gaetz pointed out. “Colangelo makes this remarkable downstream career journey from the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and then pops up in Alvin Bragg’s office to go ‘get Trump’ — and you’re saying that’s just a career choice that was made, that has nothing to do with the lawfare?”

Going from the U.S. Department of Justice – where Colangelo was the number three man in the department — to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office is quite a step back.

“That is false, “Garland answered back. I didn’t dispatch Matthew Colangelo.” “That’s false.”

This isn’t the first time Gaetz has challenged Garland for refusing to cooperate with Congress.

Gaetz previously confronted the Attorney General with three straight forward questions.

First, he asked Garland if his office could guarantee that the people buying Hunter Biden’s “art” aren’t doing so to gain political favors from the Bidens?

Gaetz followed up asking if the Biden DOJ dissolved the Trump-era China Initiative as a result of Hunter’s Chinese business deals?

And finally, he asked if on January 6, Garland lost count of the number of federal assets.

Garland refused to answer any of those questions, choosing instead to offer, “no comment.”
