The Democrats and their media allies protect their own.
But circumstances change when people become too much of a liability.
And a major Democrat scam artist just got some staggering news.
Cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried was convicted on federal charges of stealing billions of dollars from customers.
Bankman-Fried’s cryptocurrency exchange FTX was essentially operating as a Ponzi Scheme.
He used customer funds to live lavishly and pay back loans to sister hedge fund Alameda Research, which was run by his ex-girlfriend Caroline Ellison.
Of the prosecution’s 18 witnesses, Ellison proved to be the most damaging.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Ellison, “told jurors that while she was the chief executive officer of Alameda, he instructed her to doctor balance sheets to fool the hedge fund’s lenders. The lying and stealing left her in ‘a constant state of dread,’ she said.”
No more kisses for Democrats’ Ukraine and 2022 Midterms bagman.
Bankman-Fried was able to curry favor with major Democrat politicians by showering them with campaign donations and funding for various community initiatives.
When news of Bankman-Fried’s corruption first broke, House Financial Services Committee Chair Maxine Waters said that she would not subpoena Bankman-Fried for a hearing about FTX’s precipitous collapse.
Waters’s words sent off alarm bells, especially considering she and other Democrats had gleefully taken money from him.
Waters even blew him a kiss.

Mark Cohen, Bankman-Fried’s lawyer, said, “We respect the jury’s decision. But we are very disappointed with the result…Mr. Bankman-Fried maintains his innocence and will continue to vigorously fight the charges against him.”
How long before SBF gets Epsteined?
Bankman-Fried’s sentencing hearing will take place on March 28, 2024.
Manhattan U.S. attorney Damian Williams commented, “While the cryptocurrency industry might be new, and the players like Sam Bankman-Fried might be new, this kind of corruption is as old as time…This case has always been about lying, cheating and stealing, and we have no patience for it.”
Bankman-Fried did not seem to do himself any favors when he testified.
The Journal added that “Bankman-Fried floundered as a prosecutor contrasted his many public statements with his private ones in an attempt to show he was a liar. Bankman-Fried gave evasive answers and said he had little recollection of past comments prosecutors cited. During closing arguments, Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicolas Roos told jurors that Bankman-Fried said he didn’t recall at least 140 times. ‘He approached every question like up was down and down was up,” Roos said.
Bankman-Fried confessed to a reporter that he and other “woke westerners” know how to virtue-signal, in order to get showered with praise.
That is likely how the serious red flags within his company went unnoticed for so long.
