Democrats believe they can get away with anything.
Their belief comes from the fact the entire media apparatus is on their side.
Now, liberals want to do something truly insane to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.
The Left are still freaking out over the Supreme Court leak of a draft opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito.
The draft opinion suggest that Roe V. Wade is on the brink of being overturned, and Democrats have lost their collective minds.
Far-Left activists protested outside the homes of conservative Supreme Court justices, which was a violation of federal law.
Now Glenn Kirschner, a legal analyst for MSNBC, believes that Alito should be impeached and thrown in jail.
During a radio interview with Dean Obeidallah, Kirschner said, “Well, my take is all of those justices misrepresented and deceived the senators and by extension, the American people under oath during their confirmation hearings. Why? Because they couldn’t speak the truth. Can you imagine, Dean, if Alito said under oath what he put in that draft opinion? ‘Roe was egregiously wrong from the minute it was decided, and it’s an abuse of judicial authority.’ That’s a quote. Did he say or communicate anything about Roe v Wade that came anywhere near that? He communicated the exact opposite.”
This is truly insane.
First, Alito and the other conservative justices did not perjure themselves.
The Democrats are trying to argue that Alito lied when he said that Roe was legal precedent, which is true.
But so was Plessy V. Ferguson and other badly decided cases.
That doesn’t mean they get to stand forever.
Kirschner added that “this is not prosecutorial overreach. This is not a witch hunt. This is not political payback. This is responsible government holding hearings into Supreme Court nominees who lied. And at the end of the day, maybe it doesn’t result in articles of impeachment, but gosh dang it, we deserve to have hearings and look into it, get to the bottom of it. And if a perjury charge can be made and the articles of impeachment ought to be drawn up. Then we have to consider it. What we can’t do is say, Well, it’s a foregone conclusion. We’d never have enough votes in the Senate to remove. That’s not the point. We don’t use that to justify government negligence and sloth in not doing the hard work.”
Yet again, the Democrats are “saving” democracy by destroying it.
Something doesn’t go their way, so they cook up a fascistic charge to go after their political opponents.
They have exposed themselves as authoritarians.
If the Democrats are dumb enough to jump on board with Kirschner’s madness, they’re going to get demolished even worse in the upcoming midterms.
