At one point, LeBron James was arguably the most popular athlete in America – if not the world.
However, he insists on using his platform to push a woke agenda on basketball fans – leaving many sports fans saying, “shut up and play.”
But now King James just locked horns with Elon Musk in a game of one-on-one that the L.A. Laker is wishing he never started.
Elon Musk wants to bring free speech back to Twitter now that he’s taken over the social media platform.
Predictably, Social Justice Warriors, including NBA All Star LeBron James, are completely melting down.
James wrote “this is scary AF,” and demanded Elon Musk censor tweets that King James doesn’t find acceptable.
But in doing so, the future first-ballot Hall of Famer inadvertently helped the world’s richest man make the case for the need to purge the landfill of bots that had been consuming the social media platform.
King James flagged for a lane violation
Without even knowing if it was true, LeBron James immediately jumped into censorship mode upon reading a tweet suggesting a large surge in the use of the “n-word” on Twitter since Musk took over the company last Friday.

“Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover sparked a surge in the use of the N-word on the social media platform,” Huffington Post editor Philip Lewis tweeted. A social media research group told The Washington Post the use of the slur increased by nearly 500%.
The four-time NBA Champion was quick to react without doing a single bit of research.
“I dont (sic) know Elon Musk and, tbh, I could care less who owns twitter,” James tweeted. “But I will say that if this is true, I hope he and his people take this very seriously because this is scary AF. So many damn unfit people saying hate speech is free speech.”
In other words, LeBron James does not believe that hate speech is included in free speech – which means he believes someone gets to decide what is allowed and not allowed to be said, and then speech needs to be monitored and censored accordingly.
However, this seems to be a predictable attempt to push wokesters into paranoid fits by left-wing – and likely Deep State-linked – troll and bot farms.
If James had done a bit of research, he’d find the tweet he was responding to was disingenuous, at best.
Elon Musk blitzed in for a big blocked shot on LeBron James
The Tesla founder owned James without typing a single word.
Musk simply responded with a link to a thread explaining that the supposed “surge” in n-word use was almost entirely from bots.
Twitter’s head of Safety and Integrity, Yoel Roth confirmed a relative handful of fake accounts were responsible for the uptick.
“Over the last 48 hours, we’ve seen a small number of accounts post a ton of Tweets that include slurs and other derogatory terms,” Roth tweeted. “To give you a sense of scale: More than 50,000 Tweets repeatedly using a particular slur came from just 300 accounts.”

“Nearly all of these accounts are inauthentic,” Roth continued. “We’ve taken action to ban the users involved in this trolling campaign — and are going to continue working to address this in the days to come to make Twitter safe and welcoming for everyone.”
Perhaps next time James will look before he shoots, or else he’ll just get blocked again.
