Allegations surrounding Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings already have Joe Biden in hot water.
But now the pot has turned into a roiling cauldron.
And leaked details of Biden’s partnership plan with this Chinese subsidiary have Americans spitting mad.
Joe Biden seems to be inspired by China’s TikTok spying scheme
Ask any teenager what the most popular social media platform is these days, and most will tell you TikTok.
In recent years, the social media app TikTok has exploded in popularity, particularly with young people.
TikTok has taken over American popular culture, however, this Chinese-owned company poses significant threats to national security and the security of its users.
However, after a bombshell report unveiled that TikTok has the potential to store and share user data with the Communist Chinese Government.
Guaranteeing no future the “laptop from hell” stories likely spread on TikTok
Measures have been introduced to entirely ban TikTok in the United States, causing TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, to negotiate with the Joe Biden administration.
Rather than stand up to ByteDance, it seems as if Joe Biden has been inspired by the Chinese technology company and their potential.
Just recently, a draft was released containing details of an agreement between ByteDance and the Joe Biden administration.
According to Forbes, this agreement would give government agencies like the Department of Justice and the Department of Defense (just to name a couple) the power to “Examine TikTok’s U.S. facilities, records, equipment and servers with minimal or no notice, and block changes to the app’s U.S. terms of service, moderation policies, and privacy policy, veto the hiring of any executive involved in leading TikTok’s U.S. Data Security org.”
The agreement would also allow the federal government to “order TikTok and ByteDance to pay for and subject themselves to various audits, assessments and other reports on the security of TikTok’s U.S. functions, and, in some circumstances, require ByteDance to temporarily stop TikTok from functioning in the United States.”
This agreement does little to protect American TikTok users, and instead endows the American federal government with more power and access to user data, not too different from the power the Chinese Communist Party has over TikTok.
Joe Biden sees the Chinese Government as an example, not an advisory
In recent years, the Chinese Government has become increasingly hostile to the United States and its interests.
Instead of standing up to China, Joe Biden and his allies seem more interested in appeasing and even emulating them.
The leaked draft agreements between America and ByteDance show that Joe Biden has little to no interest in protecting American TikTok users, but rather transferring power from China to himself.
The good news is, that downloading and using TikTok is entirely optional, but every American ought to consider the harmful side effects that downloading this app could have on their security.
