The D.C. establishment has been using the Capitol Hill riot to demonize Donald Trump and all Republicans.

But there are still a lot of unanswered questions about January 6th.

And Kevin McCarthy has some explaining to do after one stunning J6 investigation development.

Caving to the DOJ?

Independent journalist Julie Kelly has been the reporter covering all things related to January 6th most tenaciously.

And Kelly dropped a bombshell that House Republicans backtracked on their agreement to make all of the unseen January 6th footage available to the public.

Kelly wrote on Twitter, “The pledge by GOP to release all the Jan 6 videos has been broken. I  believed my involvement to make footage available was a temporary fix until staff could protect innocents from DOJ and thugs like Sedition Hunters. Now I see GOP has capitulated to DOJ and Capitol police…I have lots of video. And it would benefit me in many ways to keep it on close hold. But I will release what I have because this is wrong.”

Over two years later, there are still thousands of hours of footage that have not been shared.

Establishment Republicans are just as eager as the Democrats to memory-hole many of the unsolved mysteries about January 6th, including the identity of the RNC and DNC pipe bomber(s).

However, Kelly’s crowing over the issue might have forced House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to honor the original deal.

Forcing the Speaker’s hand?

Kelly updated, “After talking with House GOP officials the past few days, it’s my understanding that hours of J6 footage requested by journalists including Tucker (and me) will be made available to the public very soon This is the start of a rolling production of J6 clips with public access…I believe the intent is to continually update the public platform with newly requested clips and possibly footage from other sources including police body cam footage. This will (hopefully) serve as an archive for all related J6 video so the American people can access a more complete account of Jan 6.”

This is certainly a step in the right direction.

But there is still so much to investigate.

Nancy Pelosi’s January 6th House Select Committee was just a witch hunt against Trump; there was zero adversarial process, and the investigation into security failures was effectively scuttled.

Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund spoke to Tucker Carlson about the various unusual security roadblocks leading up to January 6th, but for some reason, he was never asked to appear before the J6 Committee.
