More people have awakened to the fact that free speech is under assault.

So-called progressives keep making excuses for silencing people.

And Jordan Peterson is being forced to do one thing that will have you fuming.

A canary in the coal mine

Canadian clinical psychologist Jordan Peterson became an international phenomenon when he spoke out against Bill C-16, which effectively created compelled speech with regard to gender identity.

So “misgendering” someone could be a criminal offense.

Since then, the Left’s war against free speech has only gotten worse.

A few months ago, the College of Psychologists of Ontario attempted to pull Peterson’s license because of tweets he made on social media.

The licensing body said that Peterson had to undergo social media re-education training in order to remain certified as a clinician in the country.

Peterson filed a legal complaint, but a judge just ruled in favor of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

And Peterson is firing back.

If they’ll force leading public intellectuals to undergo re-education training for wrong-speech, ordinary citizens should shudder at what’s next

He wrote on Twitter, “If you think that you have a right to free speech in Canada, you’re delusional. I will make every aspect of this public. And we will see what happens when utter transparency is the rule . Bring it on.”

So the Ontario Court of Appral ruled that @CPOntario can pursue their prosecution

Judge Paul Schabas ruled, “I have concluded that the application should be dismissed. In my view, the Decision of the ICRC [Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee] adequately and reasonably considered Dr. Peterson’s statements in the context of the College’s statutory mandate to regulate the profession in the public interest…[T]he order is not disciplinary and does not prevent Dr. Peterson from expressing himself on controversial topics; it has a minimal impact on his right to freedom of expression.”

Peterson is being forced to undergo re-education training because he has been deemed an enemy of the Left.

If Peterson were denouncing Right-wingers, he would be in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

They would probably give him an award.

Prior to the ruling, Peterson wrote, “I simply cannot resign myself to the fact that in my lifetime I am required to resort to a public letter to the leader of my country to point out that political criticism has now become such a crime in Canada that if professionals dare engage in such activity, government-appointed commissars will threaten their livelihood and present them with the spectacle of denouncement and political disgrace…There is simply and utterly no excuse whatsoever for such a state of affairs in a free country.”

Canada has discarded all pretenses of free speech, but America is not far behind at all.
