Joe Biden was blindsided after this Big Labor attempt to squash free speech backfired

The Left is hell-bent on shutting down their critics.

They can’t defend their failed ideas.

Now Joe Biden was blindsided after one of his Big Labor cronies’ attempts to squash free speech backfired.

Big Labor is the political muscle for Democrats pouring tens of millions of dollars into their campaigns and bolstering their get out the vote operations.

In turn, Democrats do the bidding of Big Labor pushing for more handouts for the Union Bosses.

All the while, Union Bosses are claiming they’re looking out for workers.

Charlene Carter was a pro-Life flight attendant for Southwest who was forced to be represented by Transport Workers Union Local 556 under federal law.

She joined the union in 1996 but left in 2013 after her conservative Christian views conflicted with the far-Left radical political agenda pushed by the union.

Federal law required that Carter continue to pay union dues or lose her job.

In January 2017 as the radical Left started up their resistance to the Trump presidency, the Transport Workers Union and its president, Audrey Stone, planned to join the leftist Women’s March in Washington, D.C. to protest President Trump.

One of the key funders of the Women’s March were the pro-abortion radicals at Planned Parenthood.

Carter slammed the union’s attendance on social media and told Stone she planned to start a recall petition against her as union president.

Managers at Southwest confronted Carter about pro-Life views online, firing her for violating the company’s policies on social media use and social media policy.

Stone complained to Southwest that Carter “harassed” her online after she objected to the union’s far-Left politics.

In other words, the union that Carter was forced to pay dues to represent her retaliated against her for her political beliefs.

Carter filed a lawsuit against Southwest and the Transport Workers Union over her unjust firing with the help of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation.

Now a federal jury delivered a massive victory against Southwest and the union, awarding Carter more than $5 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

The verdict requires the union to pay $950,000, while Southwest will have to fork over $4.1 million for the politically-motivated firing.

This is a major win for free speech after Carter’s union tried to have her silenced for standing up to them.

“Today is a victory for freedom of speech and religious beliefs. Flight attendants should have a voice and nobody should be able to retaliate against a flight attendant for engaging in protected speech against her union,” Carter told FOX Business in a statement. “I am so humbled and thankful for today’s decision and for everyone who’s supported me these past five years, including the National Right to Work Foundation.”

“No American worker should have to fear termination, intimidation, or any other reprisal merely for speaking out against having their own money spent, purportedly in their name, to promote an agenda they find abhorrent,” said Mark Mix, president of National Right to Work Foundation.

Carter’s legal win exposes the hypocrisy of left-wing Big Labor bosses who claim to care about workers, when they really care about political power.
