The Democrats and their media allies have struggled to defend the Bidens.
Years of shady business deals are finally catching up to them.
And Jim Jordan sent Democrats into panic mode over one statement about Hunter Biden.
The walls are closing in
House Republicans are building momentum in their investigation into Joe Biden and his family’s alleged misconduct.
The scandal broke wide open when Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” was verified as authentic, and now much of the information on the computer is being backed up with evidence.
Despite the clear examples of misconduct, Hunter Biden was offered a slap-on-the-wrist plea deal that was blown up by an incredulous judge.
Biden was offered immunity for all future crimes that may have arisen from the FBI investigation.
After the deal fell apart, Hunter Biden rescinded his guilty plea, and U.S. Attorney David Weiss was abruptly given Special Counsel status by Attorney General Merrick Garland.
Many immediately said the 11th hour Special Counsel status was to protect Weiss from commenting on an ongoing federal investigation.
Garland claimed that Weiss was never given Special Counsel status previously in order to fully investigate Hunter Biden because he did not request it, but that contradicted testimony from an IRS whistleblower.
And House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan explained how Weiss is now tapdancing in order to protect the Bidens.
Quite a dance routine
Jordan summarized Weiss’s remarks during a deposition and said, “When he was specifically asked, did you ever request special attorney authority under Section 515, Mr. Weiss’s response was yes, in the spring of 2022. So that goes to the heart of the matter. He requested it, was not given that request, and never had that authority throughout the time, and yet he pretends that somehow he did have that. And then finally, of course, on [August] of this year, he gets Special Counsel status when he requests that from the Attorney General.”
It appears that the DOJ has other interests beyond getting to the bottom of Biden family corruption.
Jordan added, “So to me, that’s the key takeaway. [Weiss] won’t answer a lot of questions. But that’s the key takeaway, because this whole deposition was about the changing story we got from DOJ, regarding the authority that he had. And that answer, I think the key is, is entirely consistent with what [IRS whistleblower Gary] Shapley said after the October 7, 2022 meeting, when he said USA Weiss requested Special Counsel authority when it was sent to DC and Main DOJ denied his request and told him to follow the process.”
Either Weiss or Garland lied, and the current evidence points to Garland being the one was not telling the truth.
