Jeffrey Epstein’s sex scandal has largely been swept under the rug.
People did not get answers to basic questions such as his client list.
But Epstein’s private calendar revealed some truly jaw-dropping names.
Global elites are desperate for the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal to go away.
Epstein died in prison under dubious circumstances, and partner in crime Ghislaine Maxwell refuses to talk as she rots behind bars.
However, people still want to know who was cavorting with Epstein and why.
And some answers were provided when the Wall Street Journal published Epstein’s private calendar.
Epstein met with power players including current CIA Director William Burns, former Obama White House Counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, Bard College President Leon Botstein, professor and leftist activist Noam Chomsky, and banking executive Ariane de Rothschild among others.
The Journal reported that “[n]one of their names appear in Epstein’s now-public ‘black book’ of contacts or in the public flight logs of passengers who traveled on his private jet. The documents show that Epstein arranged multiple meetings with each of them after he had served jail time in 2008 for a sex crime involving a teenage girl and was registered as a sex offender. The documents, which include thousands of pages of emails and schedules from 2013 to 2017, haven’t been previously reported.”
So luminaries across various fields were not at all bothered by Epstein’s conviction for sex crimes involving minors.
A CIA spokeswoman confirmed to the Journal that the CIA Director William Burns – who spent part of his career under Hillary Clinton at the State Department – had several scheduled meetings with Epstein in late 2014.
Biden Intel Chief reportedly went to a blind meeting with Epstein?
At the time, Mr. Burns was Deputy Secretary of State in the Obama administration.
“The director did not know anything about him, other than that he was introduced as an expert in the financial services sector and offered general advice on transition to the private sector,” CIA spokeswoman Tammy Kupperman Thorp responded, according to the Journal.
It’s difficult to believe that a career diplomat and would-be spy chief would ever go into meetings with people they know nothing about.
That’s something that could be disastrous, if not deadly, for any diplomat or intelligence officer.
Ruemmler purportedly had a relationship with Epstein through her work with powerhouse law firm Latham & Watkins, although the firm claimed that Epstein was never a client.
According to the Journal, Epstein knew Ruemmler well enough to alert his staff to have “avocado sushi rolls” on hand in advance of a meeting.
While arranging travel plans for Ruemmler, Epstein told an assistant, “See if there is a first class seat…[I]f so upgrade her.”
Ruemmler confessed, “I regret ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein.”
Chomsky took a more defensive posture when asked about his ties with Epstein.
He responded to the Journal in email, “First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone’s. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally.”
He was also questioned about a 2015 meeting with Epstein and film director Woody Allen.
Chomsky remarked, “If there was a flight, which I doubt, it would have been from Boston to New York, 30 minutes…I’m unaware of the principle that requires that I inform you about an evening spent with a great artist.”
As for Ariane de Rothschild, who married into the famous banking dynasty, The Journal reported that “she and Epstein negotiated a $25 million contract for Epstein’s Southern Trust Co. to provide ‘risk analysis and the application and use of certain algorithms’ for the bank…”
Some have speculated that Epstein’s main tie to the global elite is his alleged money laundering prowess.
Despite being embroiled in the Towers Financial corruption scandal, one of the biggest in American history, he was still approached by power brokers like the Clintons to set up financial structures.
Many questions abound involving Epstein, and the answers are only slowly trickling out.
