Elon Musk has put his thumb in the eyes of the Left.
That’s why he has suddenly become a villain in the press.
And Musk released another bombshell that the Democrat-controlled media is desperate to memory-hole.
Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter has turned out to be a disaster for the establishment and legacy media institutions.
Musk effectively spent $44 billion to buy receipts that exposed collusion and corruption between the state, the media, and Big Tech.
Musk has revealed the information in the Twitter File through many dispatches from various independent journalists.
The latest disclosure came from former Rolling Stone journalist Matt Taibbi, who has become a member of the enemy class in the eyes of the corporate-controlled press.
Twitter Files 17 exposes taxpayer-funded disinfo “cottage industry”
Taibbi released Twitter Files 17, which detailed how the war on disinformation has turned into a “cottage industry.”
The dispatch focused on the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, which gets government funding to weed out so-called foreign disinformation.
Taibbi reported that the “DFRLab is funded by the U.S. Government, specifically the Global Engagement Center (GEC). Director Graham Brookie denies DFRLab uses tax money to track Americans, saying its GEC grants have ‘an exclusively international focus.’”
However, that claim was undercut by tens of thousands of Americans who were accused of being “Hindu nationalists” in a disinformation dragnet.
DFRLab wrote to Twitter, “Hi guys. Attached you will find…around 40k twitter accounts that our researchers suspect are engaging in inauthentic behavior…and Hindu nationalism more broadly.”
Many of the people on the list balked at the assertion that they were bot accounts run by Hindu nationalists.
An account named Bobby Hailstone replied, “I have no connection to any Hindu folks…Just a Reagan Republican here in CT,”
A woman with the handle Lady_DI816 responded, “A Hindu nationalist? I’ve never even been out of this country. Let alone the state of NJ.”
A user who went by Krista Woods said bluntly, “These people are insane!”
Even Yoel Roth, Twitter’s former head of Trust and Safety, believed the Hindu nationalist rhetoric was bogus.
He responded, “I spot-checked a number of these accounts, and virtually all appear to be real people.”
“They do this in places that don’t believe in free speech”
Marysel Urbanik, another American on DFRLab’s list who happened to flee Fidel Castro’s Cuba, explained, “This is un-American…They do this in places that don’t believe in free speech.”
Someone with knowledge of the intel community agreed with Urbanik’s assessment.
According to Taibbi, a former intelligence source to him, “It’s an incubator for the domestic disinformation complex…All the shit we pulled in other countries since the Cold War, some morons decided to bring home.”
Americans can thank, in part, Barack Obama for that.
Taibbi wrote, “The Global Engagement Center is usually listed as a State Department entity.
It’s not. Created in Obama’s last year, GEC is an interagency group ‘within’ State, whose initial partners included FBI, DHS, NSA, CIA, DARPA, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and others.”
The war on terror has been turned inward on the American people under the guise of battling “disinformation.”
