Elon Musk has been elevated to the role of supervillain by the Left.
Democrats went ballistic when he took control of Twitter.
And Musk left a reporter speechless with one movie quote.
Elon Musk enraged the Left when he bought Twitter for $44 billion and took the company private.
Musk was frustrated by the culture of free speech that had eroded on the platform, and he wanted to do something about it.
Ever since Musk was rumored to buy the company, he was mercilessly attacked by the Democrats and their media allies, but he has not backed down.
People who were previously kicked off Twitter or shadow-banned were allowed back on the platform.
And Musk again doubled down on his commitment to free speech.
Musk defends WEF-linked choice for new Twitter CEO
Musk recently sat for an interview with David Faber of CNBC and he was asked about whether or not his tweets were affecting his bottom line.
Faber asked, “Do your tweets hurt the company? Are there Tesla owners who say, ‘I don’t agree with his political position—and I know it because he shares so much of it?’ Or are there advertisers on Twitter that Linda Yaccarino will come and say, ‘You gotta stop, man. I can’t get these ads because of some of the things you tweet.’”
Linda Yaccarino was recently hired by Musk to take over the role of CEO while he shifts to an engineering-focused role.
Yaccarino was a controversial choice because of her association with the World Economic Forum, but others pointed out her expertise in drawing in advertising dollars when she worked at NBC Universal; Musk needs to monetize Twitter in order to make it profitable.
After an interminable pause, Musk responded to Faber, “You know, I’m reminded of…a scene in The Princess Bride…where he confronts the person who killed his father. And he says, ‘Offer me money. Offer me power. I don’t care.’”
Pledges to say what he wants
Musk was paraphrasing a famous scene in the film where swashbuckler Inigo Montoya finally comes face to face with the man who killed his father.
Faber followed by saying, “So you just don’t care.”
Musk responded, “I’ll say what I want to say, and if the consequence of that is losing money, so be it.”
Mandy Patinkin, the outspoken liberal actor who played Inigo Montoya, responded to Musk with another famous quote from The Princess Bride.
I do not think it means what you think it means. https://t.co/LPtzkB6L6p

The line “I do not think it means what you think it means” often gets used in online debates.
Not only has Musk vowed to enshrine free speech on Twitter, he exposed much of the deep state corruption that was taking place at the company.
Musk released the Twitter Files, which revealed evidence of unbelievable levels of collusion between the old regime at Twitter and various intelligence and other government agencies.
