Elon Musk asked one important question about this stunning Big Tech reversal

Elon Musk is shaking up the world of Big Tech with his potential Twitter purchase.

He saw one terrifying problem plaguing the industry.

Now he asked one important question about this stunning Big Tech reversal.

The pandemic brought out some of the most ruthless censorship ever seen on Big Tech platforms.

Any idea that didn’t tow the Fauci line was censored or banned to protect the narrative.

Journalist Alex Berenson is one of the leading contrarians on the official pandemic narrative.

He was a frequent critic of the agenda pushed by the public health elites especially on vaccines.

For violating Twitter’s pandemic misinformation policy, his account was slapped with a permanent suspension.

Reversing a ban from a Big Tech titan is usually a hopeless effort.

But Berenson didn’t take his suspension lying down, and filed a lawsuit against the company.

He alleged that Twitter was acting “on behalf of the federal government in censoring and barring him from access to its platform.”

In a shocking move, Twitter settled with Berenson and restored his account on the platform.

Berenson won a major victory for free speech against one of the most censorship-happy Big Tech companies.

He stated that this was the first time a Big Tech platform admitted it shouldn’t have banned a prominent user and reinstated their account.

“This has NEVER happened before,” Berenson noted.

His victory raised major questions about what exactly the government’s role is in pressuring Twitter to ban him.

Berenson wrote, “The settlement does not end my investigation into the pressures that the government may have placed on Twitter to suspend my account. I will have more to say on that issue in the near future.”

After Berenson returned to Twitter, Elon Musk asked him an important question about his statement after returning from suspension.

“Can you say more about this: ‘… pressures that the government may have placed on Twitter …’” Musk asked him.

Berenson responded that his settlement prevented him from going into detail but he promised in the future he’d have more to report.

Jenin Younes, one of the attorneys on Berenson’s case, weighed in on the government pressure.

“His removal was a disgrace, esp. because it was clearly coordinated by the Government,” Younes said. “I hope that he is able to shed light on the degree of unconstitutional government involvement in social media censorship as he has promised.”

Independent journalist Glenn Greenwald pointed out the growing calls from the Biden regime to Big Tech companies to censor their critics.

“Much (if not most) of the most controversial and consequential political censorship of the internet is the result of threats, coercion and demands from Congressional Democrats, not from tech companies themselves,” Greenwald noted.

Democrats are obsessed with the idea of “fighting” misinformation which amounts to any speech they don’t like.

Regime officials have demanded that Big Tech censor misinformation with ridiculous claims that its killing people.

Most famously, the regime created the Disinformation Governance Board to combat online misinformation before the effort was put on hold.

Berenson could open a window into the collusion between Big Tech and Democrats to censor critics of the Left.
