Donald Trump has been the target of overwhelming lawfare.

But the cases against him could be falling apart.

And Trump was smiling when one Judge gave scandal-ridden DA Fani Willis this bad news.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis represented perhaps Democrats’ best chance to throw Donald Trump in jail.

The charges in Georgia are state crimes for which Trump could not be pardoned at the federal level, and Georgia state law does not grant the Governor unilateral pardon powers.

So Democrats have placed a lot of eggs in the Willis basket.

However, Willis’s case is currently in shambles due to her alleged misconduct.

Willis brought on Nathan Wade, the man with whom she was having a sexual relationship, as a prosecutor on the Trump case, despite having never tried a criminal case before.

Prior to the Trump case, Wade had only worked in family law, contract disputation, and traffic violations as a municipal court Judge.

Willis and Wade also went on lavish vacations together, purportedly on the taxpayers’ dime.

Judge orders reckoning over allegations against Willis

And in light of the scandal, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ordered a hearing with regard to the allegations.

The hearing is set for February 15th, and Willis must respond in writing by February 2nd.

The Washington Post reported that “McAfee’s order…could force Willis to address the allegations in televised court proceedings, a development that could at least be embarrassing for the district attorney and at worst for her derail the investigation completely. The district attorney separately signaled Thursday that she plans to fight the efforts to disqualify her from the case, filing a motion to block a subpoena that could force her to testify in the contentious divorce case of her lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade.”

In a sad attempt to burnish her image, Willis delivered a sermon at a church to air her grievances.

Who’s nonsense?

Willis told congregants at Big Bethel AME Church, a historically black church in Atlanta, “They are going to be mad when I call them out on this nonsense… The first thing they say, ‘Oh, she’s going to play the race card.’ But … isn’t it them playing the race card when they think I need someone in some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I’ve been doing almost 30 years?”

Regardless of what happens in the Willis hearing, her witch hunt against Trump has already been deeply tarnished.
