Donald Trump is headed for war with Big Tech and it’s about time

Big Tech has been all-in for the Democrat Party for years.

From censoring what conservatives post to shutting down the accounts of prominent voices on the Right, they’ve made no secret of which party they favor.

And it looks like Donald Trump is headed for war with Big Tech, and it’s about time.

Tech giants Twitter, Facebook, and Google have been on the front lines of the anti-Trump movement since day one.

In the beginning, many thought it was just rumors that these companies were censoring conservative voices, but over the last four years, it has become abundantly clear that’s exactly what they are doing.

Earlier this week, former President Donald Trump announced class-action lawsuits against tech giants Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube parent company Google.

According to the suits, Trump claims “unlawful” censorship of him and other conservatives after the tech giants banned him and others from posting in the wake of the January 6 event at the Capitol.

Trump made a statement Wednesday during a visit to his golf resort in New Jersey saying he is working to put an end to the “canceling that you know so well.”

“We’re demanding an end to the shadow-banning, a stop to the silencing, and a stop to the blacklisting, banishing, and canceling that you know so well,” he declared.

The former President went on to say, “We will prove that this censorship is unlawful, it’s unconstitutional, and it’s completely un-American.”

The lawsuits filed against Facebook, Twitter, and Google/YouTube seek compensatory and punitive damages to the plaintiff and the class in amounts to be determined at trial.

They also include orders for the sites to immediately reinstate the plaintiff’s (Trump) accounts, to remove warning labels from posts, and for a judgment declaring Section 230 unconstitutional.

There hasn’t been comment from any of the tech companies named in the lawsuits.

Donald Trump and his supporters have been battling these Big Tech companies for years over censorship.

By using a class-action lawsuit, he is filing on behalf of a large group of people that have claimed they were censored because of their political beliefs.

“We’re going to hold Big Tech very accountable. This is the first of numerous other lawsuits,” Trump stated.

The former President wrapped up his remarks about the lawsuits by reminding the country that “liberty is under increased attacks by a lot of different sides.”

Whether this course of action will work is yet to be seen, but Trump’s message is important.

Liberty is indeed under attack.
