Ron DeSantis is near the top of the Democrats’ villains list and Elon Musk is right up there with him.
So after a disturbing smear attempt against DeSantis, Musk joined forces with the Florida leader.
And Ron DeSantis and Elon Musk just delivered an absolute drubbing to the NAACP during the SpaceX founder’s “Space” for DeSantis’ big launch.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made it official and announced that he is running for president of the United States in 2024, but he did so in an unconventional way.
Instead of announcing it at a rally, DeSantis chose to do it on Twitter.
DeSantis dropped his announcement video on the social media giant, then joined Elon Musk for a Twitter Spaces conversation about his launch.
DeSantis brought “breaking Twitter” back as overwhelming traffic forced “Spaces” shift for 2024 campaign launch event
During the video, the Governor said, “Our border is a disaster. Crime infests our cities. The federal government makes it harder for families to make ends meet. And the president flounders. But decline is a choice. Success is attainable. And freedom is worth fighting for…Righting the ship requires restoring sanity to our society, normalcy to our communities, and integrity to our institutions. Truth must be our foundation — and common sense can no longer be an uncommon virtue. In Florida, we proved that it can be done,” he continued. “We chose facts over fear, education over indoctrination, law and order over rioting and disorder. We held the line when freedom hung in the balance.”

There was so much traffic for the event that there was a technical delay.

During the discussion, Musk pointed out the legacy media freakout over DeSantis’s announcement on the platform.
Musk said, “Some of the things being said are truly absurd. I saw some headline from The Atlantic basically claiming that anyone who listens to this Spaces on Twitter is basically a Nazi.”
DeSantis’s entry into the fray was long anticipated, and many expect the GOP Primary to be a two-man race between him and DeSantis.
Trump has been mainly hands-off with the other Republicans in the race, but he’s gone after DeSantis guns blazing.
Polls show Trump with a sizable lead in the GOP field, but things could tighten considerably, especially if DeSantis performs well in the early primary states.
During the Twitter Spaces discussion, DeSantis addressed the absurd travel advisory issued by the NAACP.
The far-left group wrote in a statement, “Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color.”
NAACP made a big oopsie trying to attack DeSantis
DeSantis pointed out that the chairman of the NAACP lives in Florida, and several members have vacationed in the state in recent years.

DeSantis has a lot of work to do to gain ground on Trump, but his official entrance into the race is a sign that Trump will not have a cakewalk to the nomination.
