The Democrats performed better than expected, but still lost their House majority in 2022.

And the next election cycle is not shaping up to be a good one for them.

Now the Democrats’ whole 2024 strategy just got taken out.

After Donald Trump won in 2016, the Democrat establishment went to work in order to ensure another political outsider could never win again.

The establishment colluded with corporate media and social media to censor information coming from conservatives, libertarians, and counter-narrative liberals.

As people are beginning to understand the depths of online censorship, politicians are pushing back.

And Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is doing his part to undermine Democrats’ agenda.

DeSantis announces Digital Bill of Rights

DeSantis announced plans for a Digital Bill of Rights that would allow people to share their opinions online without the big hand of censorship.

The Governor said that the bill of rights would prohibit “either formally or informally, any agreement between state or local government agencies and social media platforms for the purpose of content moderation.”

DeSantis cited the Twitter Files—dispatches from Elon Musk via independent journalists—as proof of the untoward relationship between tech companies and big government.

He added, “Again, that’s a collusion between government and the private sector to deprive you of your rights.”

DeSantis mentioned Dr. Anthony Fauci, former head of the NIAID, pressuring platforms like Facebook to censor information.

Transparency is essential to DeSantis plan

DeSantis continued, “For search engine transparency, we are going to require for those doing business in Florida, these major internet search engines need to publish the criteria they use to determine which search results to display and in what order, including whether and in what circumstances politics, partisanship, or ideology is taken into account.”

Considering the power that corporations like Google have, transparency is essential.

For instance, Google was under investigation for bouncing emails from Republican politicians to spam folders.

Google’s algorithm is a black box, and whistleblowers have said that the company is biased.

The company’s bias has been on full display in various instances.

For example, former engineer James Damore was allegedly fired for sending an internal memo—employees were encouraged to submit memos on how to improve the work environment—that detailed a plan to boost female employment at the company.

His memo included social science that suggested there are differences between men and women, which is verboten on the Left.

The people who fired Damore are the ones controlling what billions of people see on Google.
