Democrat mega donor got blind-sided by his staff

Joe Biden has fumbled the ball on the economy.

Even people who supported him are feeling the heat.

But one Democrat mega donor got completely blindsided by one of his staff.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is one of the people most responsible for putting Joe Biden in the White House.

He spent $400 million on “ZuckBucks” in key swing states, particularly Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, that likely swayed the 2020 election in Biden’s favor.

But Biden’s handling of the economy has led to hard times for businesses.

With the Fed raising interest rates in order to tamp down inflation, the country is entering a recession that could last a while.

Companies will have no choice but to respond by reducing labor costs — Zuckerberg publicly said as much, which was why he was visibly frustrated when an employee asked about vacation time during a meeting.

The New York Post reported that “Mark Zuckerberg failed to conceal his annoyance with an employee who asked about vacation days during a meeting in which the Meta CEO revealed plans to cut underperforming workers…During a companywide Q&A meeting on June 30, the Facebook boss warned a recent market slump ‘might be one of the worst downturns that we’ve seen in recent history’ as he explained the reasoning behind the cost cuts. During the virtual session, Zuckerberg reportedly ‘appeared visibly frustrated’ after one Chicago-based employee asked whether ‘Meta Days,’ or extra time off introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, would continue in 2023.”

The tone-deaf question was reminiscent of a scene in the film The Shawshank Redemption when a newly arrived prisoner asked the unscrupulous warden, “When do we eat?”

Zuckerberg didn’t have the employee beaten like the warden did, but it probably crossed his mind.

The CEO replied, “Um…all right…Given my tone in the rest of the Q&A, you can probably imagine what my reaction to this is.”

In this same come-to-Jesus meeting, Zuckerberg told his charges, “Realistically, there are probably a bunch of people at the company who shouldn’t be here…Part of my hope by raising expectations and having more aggressive goals, and just kind of turning up the heat a little bit, is that I think some of you might decide that this place isn’t for you, and that self-selection is OK with me.”

The guy inquiring about “Meta Days” probably will not make the cut.

Zuckerberg can thank Biden and entitlement culture for the problems currently plaguing his company.

But on both accounts, he should look in the mirror first.
