Politicians never have to answer for their swampy behavior.
Much of their corruption happens out in the open.
But Nancy Pelosi got absolutely torched by one comic video after she was asked one question that had her running for the exit.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is the richest member of Congress.
Magically, her husband’s stock purchases have been impeccable during her time in the House.
Recently, Pelosi has been asked about the swampy actions of her husband trading on stocks while she has the power to forward or shut down pertinent legislation, and she has no good answers.
A reporter recently asked her, “Over the course of your career, has your husband ever made a stock purchase or sale based on the information you’ve received as Speaker.”
Pelosi pretended not to hear the question, so the reporter asked again.
She defiantly responded, “No, absolutely not,” then quickly ended the press conference.
Comedian and Washington Times contributor Tim Young shared a tweet that hilariously juxtaposed Pelosi’s abrupt exit with a famous Dave Chappelle sketch when he pretended to be George W. Bush answering questions about war for Middle Eastern oil before a Congressional committee.

It strains credulity to believe that Pelosi’s husband never made a trade based on information from her.
The question of Pelosi’s stocks has been a topic of debate for people on both the Left and the Right.
For example, MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle pointed out, “When you’re the CEO of a publicly traded company, there are all sorts of restrictions on what you can do. When you work in an investment bank, when you work as an investor, so many restrictions when it comes to personal investments. But these people, lawmakers, these are policymakers – policies that directly influence the way business is done all over the country – how is this even remotely legal?”
On the Right, Fox News host Tucker Carlson explained, “[Y]ou often hear politicians brag about their public service that’s such a sacrifice. And yet Nancy Pelosi’s career suggests maybe you missed your calling…She spent three decades in Congress and yet somehow Nancy Pelosi is worth tens of millions of dollars. How’d you get so rich? Well, her husband Paul Pelosi operates an investment firm and he’s made a lot of remarkably well-timed trades over the years. He really should be on CNBC. Just the other day he made another one.”
Donald Trump threatened to drain the Swamp, and the Swamp fought back by undermining his presidency all four years.
But Swamp creatures like Pelosi told on themselves with their over-the-top reaction to Trump.
