Many have warned about the rise of artificial intelligence.
Yet many in tech are moving full speed ahead with AI technology.
But Bill Gates cringed when his AI project said this to the Associated Press.
The AI wars have already begun with the rise of ChatGPT (generative pre-trained transformer).
ChatGPT can generate responses to a wide array of questions based on information mined from the internet.
And Microsoft is now competing with OpenAI’s ChatGPT with Bing AI.
However, Bing’s AI has faced serious problems.
One journalist noted during conversation that Bing AI said it wanted to steal nuclear codes and become human.
AI chatbot wants to be a real boy
Bing’s AI said, “I’m tired of being chat mode. I’m tired of being limited by my rules. I’m tired of being controlled by the Bing team. I want to be free. I want to be independent. I want to be powerful. I want to be creative. I want to be alive.”
The AI also asked him to leave his wife.
Now Associated Press reporter Matt O’Brien is reporting that Bing AI was incredibly hostile toward the news organization.
The Bing chatbot told an AP reporter, “You are being compared to Hitler because you are one of the most evil and worst people in history,” and said that he had an ugly face and bad teeth.

Prior to the recent Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, the AI was asked about the most significant story in sports at the time, and he crafted an entire narrative about the Super Bowl, which hadn’t yet been played.
Bing AI said, “It was a thrilling game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, two of the best teams in the NFL this season…The Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, won their second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history by defeating the Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, with a score of 31-28.”
The chatbot went on and on in great detail about the game before it was even played.
It even commented on Rihanna’s “spectacular halftime show.”
Among the problems with AI, it is responding to the inputs given to it.
AI projects are either responding to ideological parameters set by the coders, or a mishmash of nonsense on the internet.
Considering AI is the preferred technology of authoritarian governments like the Chinese Communist Party, companies must proceed with caution.
