Alvin Bragg’s sham conviction of Trump could already be on thin ice

Democrats were overjoyed when Donald Trump got slapped with the “convicted felon” label.

But they had to move heaven and earth to make it happen.

And Alvin Bragg’s sham conviction of Trump could already be on thin ice.

George Soros-funded Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got an outlandish conviction in his hush money trial against Donald Trump.

Despite the flimsiness of Bragg’s case, he was able to secure a conviction in a district that voted 87% for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

The jury spent almost no time deliberating, and there could be a reason why.

Juror may have broken the rules

According to a social media post, the jury was already primed to convict.

Presiding Judge Juan Merchan issued a statement notifying the prosecution and the defense of a Facebook message that could give Trump serious grounds for appeal.

“Today, the Court became aware of a comment that was posted on the Unified Court System’s public Facebook page and which I now bring to your attention,” Judge Merchan began.

Merchan went on to quote the user’s comment.

“‘My cousin is a juror and says Trump is getting convicted! Thank you folks for all your hard work!!!!’” Merchan admitted the user had revealed in his message.

If true, that means at least one juror was speaking about the case outside of jury deliberation, which is a big no-no.

Jurors are not even supposed to talk about cases among themselves outside of the jury room.

Merchan’s statement added that the Facebook message was posted on May 29 “regarding oral arguments in the Fourth Department of the Appellate Division unrelated to this proceeding.”

Trump was convicted on May 30, so in this person’s telling, the jury had already made up its mind.

A Trump campaign official confirmed that Trump’s team is “investigating the matter.”

Time will tell if the story has legs, but considering Judge Merchan found it credible enough to notify counsel speaks to the severity of the potential infraction.

It would give credence to Trump’s claim that the proceedings were “rigged” against him.

Trump was right

After being convicted, Trump told reporters, “This was a disgrace. This was a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt as a rigged trial, a disgrace. They wouldn’t give us a venue change. We were at 5 percent or 6 percent in this district, in this area. This was a rigged, disgraceful trial.”

Both Judge Merchan and his daughter have deep political ties to the Democrat Party.

Merchan gave money to a PAC aimed at “resisting the Republican Party and Donald Trump’s radical right-wing legacy,” and his daughter fundraised off of the case.

Trump continued, “The real verdict is going to be November 5th by the people. And they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here. You have a Soros-backed DA and the whole thing, we didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a very innocent man.”

Trump’s fundraising went through the roof after the verdict.

Trump added, “I’m fighting for our country, I’m fighting for our Constitution. Our whole country is being rigged right now. This was done by the Biden administration in order to vote to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent. And I think it’s just a disgrace.”

A corrupt jury would be the cherry on top.
