Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been effective at drawing press attention.

But not all of her colleagues are impressed.

And Ocasio-Cortez was hopping mad when John Fetterman compared her to one thing.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) got some fawning praise from the Democrat-controlled media after their verbal spat with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on the House floor.

Bleach blonde fake eyelashes, baby girl

During a back-and-forth, Crockett said to Greene, “Do you know what we’re here for?”

Greene shot back, “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”

Ocasio-Cortez claimed to be deeply offended on Crockett’s behalf.

“We’re not going to do a smarmy apology. She has to actually apologize. And that needs to be up to Ms. Crockett as well. . .It needs to be sincere.”

“Are your feelings hurt?” Greene asked.

That set off a firestorm.

Ocasio-Cortez affected her fake “Sandy from the Bronx” street accent and shouted, “Oh, girl, baby girl! Don’t even play!”

Soon after, Crockett shot back at Greene and said, “If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody’s bleach blonde, bad built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?”

Crockett then went on to sell merchandise commemorating the event, but misspelled her own name.

Despite the media hoopla for the WWE-style event, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) was not impressed.

Jerry! Jerry!

He wrote in a tweet, “In the past, I’ve described the U.S. House as The Jerry Springer Show. Today, I’m apologizing to The Jerry Springer Show.”

The Jerry Springer Show became emblematic of “trash TV” that was pioneered by Morton Downey, Jr. in the 1980s.

Ocasio-Cortez responded to Fetterman, “I understand you likely would not have stood up for your colleague and seem to be confused about racism and misogyny being a ‘both sides’ issue. But I stand up to bullies, instead of becoming one. And to the women of Pennsylvania: I’d stand up for you too. Enjoy your Friday.”

Fetterman’s arc has been bizarre.

He campaigned as a leftist during his Senate race, suffered a stroke, tacked to the left during the general election, and won.

After winning the Senate seat, Fetterman checked into the hospital for clinical depression, then came out of the hospital and began acting and talking like a moderate Democrat.

It has been a truly strange journey.

He even infuriated the Left by calling out the radicals in his party.

Fetterman said, “As an alum of Harvard — look, I graduated 25 years ago, and of course it was always a little pinko. But now, I don’t recognize it.”

Cenk Uygur, far-left owner of The Young Turks news network, flew off the handle.

He responded to Fetterman, “Now John Fetterman is telling everyone how he’s not a progressive, he rejects us and is now calling Harvard ‘pinko.’ What the f***? This is why people lose hope, because of frauds like Fetterman. You work hard to get a progressive elected and they turn into Republicans instantly.”

Perhaps Fetterman is just fed up with the Jerry Springer shenanigans in his party.
