A key Russia Collusion hoax figure just piped up about the Mar-a-Lago raid

Donald Trump is widely expected to make another run at the White House.

Polls show that he’s beating Joe Biden and Democrats are counting on the shocking move to keep Donald Trump off of the ballot.

Now, a key Russia Collusion hoax figure just piped up about the Mar-a-Lago raid.

The political world was turned upside down after the stunning FBI raid on Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.

In a move straight out of a banana republic, the Biden regime sent 30 FBI agents to ransack Trump’s office even searching through former First Lady Melania’s clothes.

The Justice Department was weaponized to kneecap Joe Biden’s potential 2024 opponent.

The raid was reportedly over supposed missing classified documents that Trump took with him from the White House with him to be a part of his presidential archives.

Among the documents sought by the FBI were a cocktail napkin and a dinner menu from a birthday party.

This blatantly political raid over a minor process crime is setting up an underhanded effort to try to keep Trump off of the ballot for 2024.

Marc Elias was a top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 Presidential campaign and a key figure in perpetrating the Russia collusion hoax.

He said that a little-known federal law could be used in connection to the raid to disqualify Trump from running for office.

“The media is missing the really, really big reason why the raid today is a potential blockbuster in American politics,” Elias wrote on social media.

He cited a section of federal law, U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071, related to handling of federal records.

Section 2071 states, “Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”

The FBI is alleging that Trump unlawfully removed documents from the White House to take to his personal residence.

Now an obscure law could be used by Democrats to try to boot Trump from the 2024 ballot for the “crime” of taking a cocktail napkin with him to Florida.

However, the Constitution sets the qualifications for running for president.

“Yes, I recognize the legal challenge that application of this law to a president would garner (since qualifications are set in Constitution). But the idea that a candidate would have to litigate this is during a campaign is in my view a ‘blockbuster in American politics,’” Elias added.

The law would certainly be challenged in federal court and likely overturned but it could represent another legal challenge for Trump to navigate.

Democrats are terrified of another Trump presidential run and are trying to create as many roadblocks as possible to stop him.

Whether it’s this insidious plot or the January 6th witch hunt, Democrats are willing to do anything to keep a Trump comeback bid from getting off of the ground.
